+1! LOL

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk is a good one. More of a gentlemans style! All sorts of awesome stuff on there, I tend to have a browse if I'm bored.

Ebay or pistonheads is the best bet IMO autotrader normally attracts all the over priced un sold cars as they canvass all the local papers etc.

Hey dont knock it till youve tried it. Great fun

I sold my skyline within 2 weeks on Pistonheads,

First guy to come and see it, bought it. I hadn't even put 'first to see will buy' in the ad. Missed opportunity! I would give it a few weeks on Pistonheads and then try autotrader if its not selling. When i'm looking for a car, I always check both - I'd assume most enthusiasts would.

Don't mean to throw a cat amongst the pigeons here, but surely it would be better to break the car if you were really after getting some pennies?

I would still go pistonheads that is where most of the nice cars appear imo however is plenty of lunatics over valuing. The experience i had with gumtree is it is full of scammers. Ebay is always good as long as it is a good advert but where ever you go you will unfortunately get tyre kickers

I WOULD NEVER BREAK UP MY CAR UNLESS THE MORTGAGE DEPENDED ON IT

So i hope the economy picks up, because no job with high mortgage repayments =:hang:

Bloody banks etc we have in buisiness for 43 years and "NEVER" had to make redundances and it looks as though we may have to make 4 out of 8 then see how that goes :taz::censored::censored::taz:

Still mg hopefully gone Galaxy may also have gone so fingers crossed

Id say ebay if you want a quick sale for below its true value and a very good chance of being messed around!

Autotrader if you want lots of other companies to phone you up and offer to sell it to their many waiting buyers lol

Gumtree if you want no one to see the ad!

Pistonheads is ok but not a quick sale.

The best thing you can do really is put it up for sale on here as you will get closer to the amount the car is worth, but you will have to wait for the right buyer at the right price if that makes sense.

If ebay is the only way then I recomend you do a classified ad or a buy it now with best offer a little over what you want to sell the car for and then when you get offers try to encourage would be buyers to come and have a look and haggle in person not via keyboard.

Weve sold a few cheap cars on ebay (couple of hundred pounds to a couple of grand) and the amount of timewasters and dreamers is sickening.
