The nicest spoiler in the world.. but is it worth it?

OK.. Im not the richest guy out there, but after spending months turning this over in my head I'm on the brink of sending a very large sum of money for this item:

To me it's the perfect 300zx spoiler, there's other cheaper options I COULD go for.. but I know in myself I wouldn't feel 100% happy. So the question is, is it worth me shelling out over 800 pounds for one of these?

It's the only way I can get it, to get veilside jpn to custom make me one and ship it over (lead time of 4 months if shipped by air and 6 months by sea (inc. 2 months creation time)...

I know I'd be delighted with it.. but it's as much as you could get some 18x10 bbs lm's or a leather retrim or something equally exotic.. I know smooth boots look nice, but this just adds that little length to the car it needs and from a side profile is just lush without looking gawdy.

What you reckon??

My opinion is make it buy your sell. If you really want something on your car create by your sell and make from fibreglass. is not that hard just need little bit of time and practise what's all mate. I will post picture later of my own made spoiler.

This is good example what can be done with fibreglass.

I really like the spoiler but £800 is WAYYY to expensive. You could actually get someone to MAKE that spoiler on your boot out of fiberglass for less than that.

I liked a certain spoiler for the Honda Prelude i had but it was gonna cost wayyyy too much money form the states........so i made it myself from laminate flooring and fiberglass. Looked great :)

That looks surprisingly good!

Also - I wouldn't worry about having to go to the south of england for a good bodyshop. Bernie and Leepu are quite busy at the moment, anyway.

Someone in Scotland must know their way around a box of glue and glass shards, surely to god...

If that fails though and you wanna spend £800 on that spoiler - just do it. I'm about to have a cash bonfire and get my engine rebuilt, its my money I'll do what I like, even if it makes no financial sense whatsoever :tt2:

Holy hell mate, immense effort! I was tempted to it like you would a sub box enclosure using a framework, then lycra then using resin/hardener and fg. How did you go about constructing it if you don't mind me asking? Only worry I have is if the gf asks questions about why I've stolen her lycra trousers

No , not even sure Edgar is really that keen on his spoiler..the owner of that Z. Something is just off with it even tho Edgars car is one fun car.
