I've fitted a Apexi AVC-R which was bought used and fitted on the weekend. I had to bring the car to work today because I've got brake disc run-out after fitting the K-sports (but that's another story!) and on my way in I put my foot down at 80mph in 5th and as soon as the rev counter hit 4000rpm the rev counter would just shoot up and the car would sound as if it was over reving, which i'm suspecting is over boosting? It seemed fine through the other gears.

Does anyone know the settings for the AVC-R so I can set it to just run the cars standard boost/psi or do you think it may be that there is a setting that needs to be adjusted that changes the rev band in top gear?

Help would be appreciated, I really want to take her for a run now we're having some nice weather :)

it sounds like your clutch is starting to fail due to upping the boost...

As lee said clutch slipping, classic signs after upping the boost causing slipping in top gear.

Gearbox out time.

I knew someone was going to come back with clutch slip :( arrrggghhhhhh lol!

This is the 1st time I've driven the car since the avc-r has been fitted and there was no problem before the avc-r went in even at high speeds.
