SWB Non turbo manual

Just purchased a non turbo manual SWB.

Its developed a water leak from the front of the engine.

It had a water pump, radiator and heater matrix prior to me buying it and it looks like the water is coming from around the top pully.

Any ideas would be helpfull

could be a split hose under your plenium. Very common as they get old and brittle with the heat and age.

Most of us on here have done the bypass to prevent this from happening again.

Have a look on here. it is how to do it but it will give you an idea on how the pipe run under the plenum :)

sounds like it hasnt been sealed properly and is leaking from the water pump or one of the 2 rubber hoses that connect to the front metal water pipe whereabouts are you?

Do you know when the work was done, and if they used a genuine water pump? as 3rd party ones have been known to fail faster than a OEM one, also check up and around the two front water hoses that connect the engine to the rad, there are two rubber pipes on the top one where the water can leak from.
