Hi guys,

I currently have a 300zx Fairlady, non turbo and its just failed its mot on the nearside upper suspension arm.

Being a total girl, I cant find the part anywhere, and the garge I have taken it to have said they can get it from Japan but it will take 5 weeks.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Steph

Put a post in the wanted as there are loads of breakers on here or try the Zcentre or Zed World or MJP, the last 2 are on here.

Stick a wanted thread up here mate.

Or speak to Zedworld (trader on here) they have lots of 2nd hand parts.

Or order new from one of the other traders on here.

But i'm sure that someone with a breaker could sort you out

Hi Steph, welcome to the club, as above zedworld for used parts or MJP for new. Both very helpful and im sure you get the part you need.

You can get hold of a used one, although to make sure you get a known good one your best bet is probably to buy from Zedworld.

if you want to buy new, then speak to MJP (Telephone : +44 (0)1277 374201) - They are in the forum traders section.

Alternernatively the bushes (the actual part that is worn on the arm) can be replaced if the garage has access to a bushing press. MJP or zcentre.co.uk should be able to supply these.

I have one that you can have for £30 including postage, its good condition with no play.

I thought the bushes weren't available separately, although you can if you're lucky pick up Nismo bushes for the arms, but.... £160 for 8!!

Some people fit adjustable arms, but then adjustable tension rods are apparently needed too.

Jeff - If I hear back from Baz and he can assure me he can post it quickly that would be good. Sorry if its b*ggered you about matey.....

hope you get sorted with your query - but with the community here you shouldn't need to order any replacement parts from overseas :)

If your referring to the top arm bearings then its worth bearing in mind that Vosa issued a special notice regarding 300zx top arm play and not to fail worn bearings unless they came outside a given tolerance. Its been a year since i was testing but if i recall your allowed alot of play before its deemed unroadworthy.

Ok Steph, upper link shipped today for tomorrow ( Friday) delivery.
