Most probably the oil pressure sender unit.

Get them from Nissan. £80 or so. Not worth it. If its reading 0 make sure you have oil in it.

I agree about the oil sender unit if the readings are low. These seem to be a consumable for these cars since I seem to go through one about once a year (every 15000 miles).

If high then you've probably put too much oil in her.

def oil in her (mobil one) and correct level

gauge reads low normal but seems to change every time i drive it. i know there in nowt wrong with lub system just wanted to know if senders caused problems over time. this car has 58000 on clock or 78000k. didnt know if problem was gauge or sender anybody else sufferd from this?

i am putting previous owners probs correct pcv valves, oil gauge, rear crank seal, rattles ,squeeks brake pads f/r, 2 tyers with nails in them, cam belt/ micro v belts the list goes on. did i buy the car or the jobs. never mind when its done its done!
