Hi guys,

What does it mean when there's oil in the driver's side PCV hose? Surely that can't be good ....

Cheers,

Danny

How much ? There will be a little oil in the plenum too but we're not talking pints of it .... right ?

Enough to come out of the hose, travel along it to the back of the engine and drip onto some hot pipes below, giving me the occasional burnt oil smell and fumes coming from under the bonnet.

PCV valves will collect a bit of oil as they recirculate crankcase pressure. But they are a closed loop system to do with emmisions regs. They should not be dripping anywhere. You may have a split/loose hose (s)?

have recently got 1991 na z32 with oil leak on the rear crank sealand am removing auto box next week. i have been told the reason this happens is due to pcv valve blockage or restrictave pipes, have been looking at car to find valves but dont know what they look like or exact position.ispoke to jeff of fazzley he told mewhere they should be but i must be thick cos i cant see them! HELP dont want to redo crank seal again next month
