In Infants school they now teach kids to spell phonetically (How it sounds) and they are NOT alowed to correct the kids.

 

So up until they get to six years old they are tought to spell WRONGLY!!!

 

School can be spelt - Skol - skool - skowel - skewel or ajshefjhaw

 

And the teachers all say "well done, arn't you a clever sausage."

 

Why they think teaching kids to spell stuff wrongly for years and then going "AH HANG ON!!! FORGET EVERYTHING YOU HAVE LEARNT" is the way forward I dont know.

It said on the news the other day that they,re toying with the idea of letting pupils use computers in the exams !!! as that,s how they do all their schooling these days and it,s unfair to expect them to do things that include thinking about what they,ve learnt.
