Well not that a lot of you knew that i'd gone, but i'm now a Zed owner Again. It feels much nicer that the MR2 i drove around in my hiatus. So what sort of beast have i got now i hear you ask, after selling my TT 400 Bhp (sort of) with 2" lowered suspension and 14psi boost jets...Well its a N/A std car with some replacement exhaust. So i know have to start going through the motions of adding steering wheel, glow dials, LED display, Car PC, and the list goes on. Just wish i hadn't sold all the parts of the ZED i had stocked up, could really do with them...never mind.

Only problem at the moment as i see it, is the speed sensor switch is not working properly, so the car only has gear 2 and 3 (its an Auto) Trouble is trying to see the darned thing (its right at the back of the auto box, underneath every thing. tried accessing last night but just couldn't get it up high enough, jacking the car up as well didn't help either. I'm off to see a local garage to see if he'll stick it up his so i can get a better position to see whats what.

I've Read JeffTT's write up, and i do only hope its a case of sticking it in further.

I'll let you all know how it goes but if any of you auto guys have had similar probs, let me know what your resolve was.

Hey Marty, Drove the zed around this pm and went to the garage in melbourn whom i know the owner quite well, asked if i could pop it on his MOT lift. NP he said, when it got up high enough, i checked out the sensor at the end of gearbox. Found the sensor and Visually it looked okay. Dam!!!

Carried on driving and what i found was different to what i/we were told. Put it in "2" position and drove away. As it drove away i definitely heard a change, first to second, Great i said, however once i put it into "D" the bloody thing never changed again, just stayed in second.

I'll start a proper thread about this , but thought i'd let you know. I'll pm you to arrange a get together so you can have a look

Cheers

ah i didnt really know what gears it was getting could well need a new speed sensor then i have one from a manual box in the garage if they are the same
