Had a race with a impreza on Sunday afternoon along the A570 - very good fun, I was just a tad faster than him - having to ease up slightly due to catching him up at 100 mph! Give it its dues though it was quick, an X reg blue on (arnt they all) I could easily outbrake him though and the handling round the roundabout almost saw me drive over the top of him!!! At the end of it though we waved a 'thanks' and off we went. I think its time to get a new exhaust and a new induction kit....would have whooped him then!

 

I had a race with a WRX once in my Supra, didn't stand a chance to be honest! Barn stormingly rapido, if anyone's really brave and wants to get it on, forget porch boxsters...try an EVO, evil more like!

I had a EVo follow towards work a while ago.

 

On minor A roads he was right up with me until 100, then he turned the other up a dual carrigeway, so didnt get a straight line comparison.

 

Dont the Scobbies/EVO's run out of puff at about 120 ish?

 

Still amazed at how fast the Z get to that speed (and more!)...

 

Had the top off the other night for the first time. Bl**dy noisy! but still had a massive grin, and swept up hair on side when I got home! Great fun.

at putny in london this guyswas folling me for about 5 miles all up my arse and then pulled next to me and told me how his car was so fast bllahh bllahh bllahh so we line up and have a go and i destryed him big time, up to about 80mph they are quick at the next lites he would not even aknowledge me lol

 

You're missing the point though guyZ and galZ, Z has an extra whole litre to haul it's lard arse upto speed not to mention an extra jet engine! Scoobies and Evo's are pretty damned impressive.

 

Basically took the idea from Cossie and made it better and faster as per Japanese stylie!

there's a few p1's and a 22b that mooch around near me and lets just say on the twisty stuff a scooby will tear strips off you but straight line after 145mph your gonna be laughing and any scooby owner worth his salt knows he's hurting his car if he keeps it at that speed for more than five miles or more the z was never designed to do wot the scooby was meant to. think of the z as a cruise missile and you wont go wrong

 

Yes, perfectly put Mr. Peter O'Tooley...bravo...encoure...encoure. You're right of course, Dr. Z will woop Scooby and Mr. Evo-Stik top end. I recently read something about the lovely Sunny GTI-R, 0-60 is rapid but top end is only 137 mph????? Apparently this was coz they were geared for rallying? Well I never, you learn something new every day eh?

Only one difference that's really noticeable between Evo, Scooby, Lancia etc. etc. and 300ZX...

 

Evo's, Scoobies and yer Lancia monsters of this world are built to be driven to destruction and maintain reliability...

 

Z built for looks and a very shortish lifespan in terms of the dreaded "R" word!
