I think I'm going to have to get some discs and pads as I have terrible brake judder, especially coming down from higher speeds.

Anyway saw these -

I assume they're 5 stud and the pic is for illustration only, I'd have to check this.

Just wondered if anyone had used these before?

No idea on the brand soz but it does state the size of disc which is actually the TT size and the ad is for non turbo discs. No problem if you fit TT calipers as well otherwise your N/A calipers won't fit.

Of course he may just be using a generic ad.

Just worth checking first as there isn't a vast range out there for N/A's really/

i had a set on my honda for a stop gap...which was 2 years theyr actually quite good not the same as your link i had the black coated ones

but for a permanent fix just go for a pair of brembo blanck about 10 dearer than the ones

Thanks guys.

After further digging around on the forum I've discovered that N/A discs are a pain in the a*s! Maybe TT calipers would be the way to go...

I now have concerns that I have one aluminium caliper and one cast iron... One caliper was replaced just before I bought the car, the original looks cast iron, the new one looks aluminium. Guess I'll go stick a magnet on them.

Ahh!

I read about various thickness and size depending on the year of the car. So I think I need to do some measuring first to find out whats on mine and confirm the year of the car.

NA calipers take a smaller disc you wont get a TT disc on a NA caliper thats why im swapping mine to TT ones to fit the discs i got off Baz. The difference between alu and iron you can tell by looking at them alu ones have vanes on the outside iron ones dont. They used the alu ones for about 2 years on zeds and i prefer them tio cast iron ones however i know other people dont. As well as Jeff said the other day he has seen less caliper problems with the alu ones :)

Ok, just been outside (its colds outside), both calipers are cast iron. It looks like the new caliper also has a new disc, but the other side looks older, so likely only one disc was replaced.

I still want to measure them to be sure but I think I need 280mm x 30mm discs.

NAs changed to TT spec 30mm discs somewhere in 1992.

Hence as you correctly say there isnt a lot out there for the (early) NA at least not in the UK where it is a reasonably rare car.

The old Pre 91 N/A 's had 26mm discs on, they used to be hard to get hold of, but like me, i changed to TT calipers and discs. Makes no difference to the braking to be honest but it makes access to new discs in the future easier.

I have bought discs from them before and have had no problems, good for the price.

Ok, measured my discs today and they are 30mm / 280mm.

One was obviously changed with the replaced calliper, the other side hasn't been touched and is an old disc.

Neither look warped at all, but I suppose a slight variation, one I cant see or feel, could cause judder at speed.

I've had rust and muck between the hub and disc cause juddering before, so could be that. Suspension looks fine, nothing dodgy there.

I'm going to get these - http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=17&category_id=2&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7

...but it says N/A from 94 ? I have a 92, but if the disc size matches it will be ok right?

First off you know thats 80 quid each disc, so 160 plus vat and delivery yeah?

If both your discs are currently 280mm x 30mm then yep they is fine, looks like as said you either had the tt sized discs and calipers from factory or someone done it before you.
