Welcome mate maintenance aint cheap unless you can do it yourself but they are great cars. All depends what you are after whether it be a more reliable NA or a TT. Also where abouts are you?

well i would say i really want to go for the tt, as it will be more of a weekend car! i am based in east london, so would be great if anyone was anywhere near that region. Looks like everyone is far outside it though.

Welcome, there are a few guys around London, and others local to you.

either a tt or Na are both great cars. same goes for auto and manuals.

Some good ones out there, and also some old dogs. When you start looking, view a few, then you will see what i mean. some owners will say there zed is spotless, but are unaware of issues. thus making it a bad one. Get a feel for the car, and get a well maintained, well look after. may cost more at first but worth it in the long run.

Look after these cars and they will lokk after you.

lol. i have a blue jap spec auto tt. body is in mint condition. no signs of rust under it either. will have a good look though when i get it on a ramp at work. it also has the blue interior. just doing some engine work on it at the mo should be finished this week. has mot till september i think also:)

Sounds very sexy indeed would love to see some pics and a bit more details about the car mileage etc? Sounds like you have hundreds of zx's in your garage :P

  • Author
lol. just the 2 currently:). it has about 75k on the clock. but i cant prove it is correct. given the state of the car i would say its about right though. i only have a couple of pics at the mo and they aint the best to be honest. the plate alone is worth a bit and will come with the car:)

Looks very nice, what kind of engine work are you doing to it and is it standard?

  • Author
looks like it has a stainless exhaust system on it. as for the engine. i will be as honest as i can. i bought the car as a none runner due to the head gasket gone. now i could of fixed it but i found a spare good engine for the right price. so a simple engine swop and a few other bits that where tired i.e pipes etc. and the car will be good again. to be honest i would keep it for myself if i didnt have my car that i have built, almost ready for the road:)

ah i c so how much has the new engine done mileage wise? and i wanted to ask your honest opinion, what do u think is better auto or manual?

  • Author
i dont use msn anymore. lol. my comp dosent like it for some reason. but if you need any info my number is 07758010431. im also on facebook and i can chat on that:)

ahh fare enough. Well tbh i am the same i am really against the whole auto side of things. The conversion costs a fare amount of money i heard?

  • Author
yes it can do. but most of it is labour. if you buy this car and want it converting i could do you a good deal? lol

lool now that is tempting, expect for the fact taht would have to drive 170 miles to see you for any advice haha. well let me know once all your work is done, i still need to look around and think on these matters :P. Anyways i am defo getting a 300zx no matter what the insurance ppl charge me just love them too much and i probably be the first asian with a 300zx in my area :D

Havent seen any so far in my area! Crazy huh?

welcome buddy, your best bet with buying a Z is to buy one from this forum! at least youu know you can take someone from here with you and the car has been a labour of love and looked after by an enthusiast.

There will be an odd occasion when your Z becomes a PITA though,, lol

  • Author
