Final details and prices are now set.

The price will be a deal less than what we initially thought. Which is always good news.

If you require the buffet, please contact Martin in advance so we know.

Oh, and to try and prevent any cross forum conflicts, you can contact me via PM on this forum so that you don't have to contact Z-Club committee members (for reasons that are now all explained and clear)

There will be a few different convoys going to this - from Scotland, the NE, and various southern starts

OK so I am a bit lost here. Forgetting who is Zooming who(sorry, but people can be shits); a day pass for a tenner or 25 for two days...?tenting is self catering everywhere yes good, but showers, shop? web site mentions no tents or field. what do ya know?

It's £10 for the entire weekend (this is per car, not per person).

There will be showers and toilets provided for those who are camping.

Camping costs £5 per person for the weekend - this cost is to cover part of the cost of the toilets and showers.

Due to logical challenges (mainly the £1700 cost for transport), Big Sam will not be attending I'm afraid.

Our thanks go to the owners for offering to show the car, but there is simply no way for us to be able to cover the transport costs of London - Lakes in covered transport.

With the weekend fast approaching I thought ir was about time that I posted up some more details.

Firstly the venue. The owners and staff at the Heaves Hotel have been fantastic and have helped out a lot with getting this to work. There are a few rules in place but these are very basic and more common sense than restictions.

No open fires or bonfires on the site.

Anyone wishing to use disposable BBQs please dont use them directly on the grass.

Its appreciated that those camping will bring some drink with them but please remember that the Hotel has a bar which we are welcome to use but dont take you own drink into the building.

There will be seperate areas for camping, non zed parking and zed parking, these will be signed. I dont want to make things too formal but as we will be getting a few visitors and taking a lot of pics this will simplify things.

Please remember that the toilets and showers rented for the weekend are rented by the organisor and although the hotel provides power and water for them they have no other control or responsibility for them. They are of a very good standard but if you have any problems contact one of the organisors and not the hotel.

We have taken up all the rooms in the Hotel so there will be no complaints from other guests, just fellow owners ;)

Itinerary.

There is a very general one. Do what you want, its your weekend and there are lots of things to choose from.

Friday, arrive, tyre kick, a bit of food and a few drinks.

Saturday morning, breakfast and the drive out. Refreshments from the hotel during the day.

1900 the band will start. This will be indoors in the unlikely event that the weather isnt glorious.

The buffet will be served when they take their break. £6 per ticket for this.

The band will finish at 2200.

Sunday morning breakfast and once everyone is with it the car judging for each model categorey and the show and shine will be done. The raffle will then be drawn.

As this is a multi forum weekend I have tried to keep most of the prizes non car specific. The traders one 350z-uk heavily supported the annual Wales meet a few weeks back, so we can't be leabing on them too heavily for prizes.

Arrival at the Heaves.

For all arriving on the M6 north or south exit at J36 heading for Kendal. From the North if its busy you may take a while getting onto the roundabout off the motorway. There will probably be a police car parked on the far side of the roundabout so for those with loud buttons take it easy.

From the south there is no give way after the slip road so keep in the left hand lane and drive on.

The police in the area are fine, they are very busy sorting out other problems so will not bother you unless you want them to. Unlike some places our camera vans look like they should and are in clear view.

I will check their website for locations each day. The police are aware of the weekend but are used to them.

Having left the M6 and joined the A591 dual carriageway take the first exit, a few miles from the motorway. Signposted to Barrow, A590. This drops down to a roundabout which again can be busy. Turning left be aware that you will shortly need to take a right turn, its the second one and has a reasonable filter lane. The road is a dual carriageway so get into the right lane soon after the roundabout and try to ease any following traffic down. I will put a forum flag by the gate but there is a big sign for the hotel

There are a few petrol stations in the area but I would recommend filling up before you are. I will add a list of ppetrol station when I have chance to check what they have. Please see the bottom of the post for details.

Anyone staying off site, i have local taxis available.

Anyone planning to drive through Grange over Sands with a lowered zed, they have a speed bump from hell. I dont drive through grange.

Should anyone still need rooms i still have them in my local. Mates rates.

Should anyone drive towards Barrow be warned, we have a local farm converted to a zoo so you will be driving with Rhinos and giraffes in the fields next to you.

There is a supermarket pretty close should anyone need anything (Asda).

One last one, tourists are here to enjoy the views and dont watch what they are doing, assume everyone else is an idiot and you will be fine.

All sound`s great!!! but unfortunatley I cant make the full weekend

I`m just interested in the drive out on Saturday, have you anymore details of when and where the drive will start /finish etc

Many thanks Daz

Max is finalising the drive details as I speak.

We are still contemplating what time will be best. On one side we want to avoid the tourists, and on the other we dont want members possibly over the limit on the drive.

I'll speak to Martin and Max and get a firm decision, and get back to you.

See you on the drive then Steve, if your knees are bad on the day I`m sure someone would volunteer to drive your car whilst you take in the scenery:cool3:

Sorry to here about the knees starting to go Steve so hope you enjoy this trip.It wasn't so long ago you were over here driving all through Ireland and walking around country parks (but then you had good home brewed Guinness to drink and keep you going)Have a good trip Steve and remember Guinness is good for you:pint:

For those wishing to do the Saturday drive out, we are expecting it to begin from the Heaves Hotel at circa 0930.

I'd aim to be there around 0900 though.

Er.....actually no.

Max has organised the route, and I'm assured its a good one. I'm personally from the NE, so don't know the roads round there at all, so I'm taking his word for it!

I won't be doing the drive though, as my big Aussie V8 isn't suited to the twisty roads of the Lakes.

Here's a rundown of those who won this years accolades (and a wee little trophy!)

(cut and posted from the 350z-uk thread)

Judging was done by myself, George (The G Man), and a very enthusiastic Laura (Jay's other half).

I can't remember everyones name (real or forum) so it's just pics!

I've stole them from the main pics thread ;)

Vik.....despite the events with that biker, and the damage to your car, you remained up beat, cheerful, and plenty of fun. Wouldnt have been the same show without you there!

And could all those there, spare a thought for the young lady who delivered the flowers to the hotel on the Friday afternoon, and was then involved in a horrifc collision as she left the grounds, resulting in her being cut out of the vehicle.

I got word from the hotel that she is ok, and on the mend. I've told them to blame George since she was delivering flowers for his anniversary surprise!
