Sound`s good, count me in :thumbup1: I assume from the big list of other peeps its being organised from a different club?

This one is being organised by a member from another club and is open to all zed enthusiasts. As its a social weekend there is no need to have the zed to come along.

Yes this has been organised alongside the rest of the community, a good way to bring it all together!

More details coming soon! :)

been told to keep away ................. :( grumble grumble .....grrrrrrrrrrr

By whom and why?.................

by the other forum mods..due to an ongoing situation where a former trader still owes me 3000 pounds and while my car was in his keep my 18: alloys and brand new Toyo Proxes were stolen the sill damaged etc etc ..and he still refuses to speak to his insurers to allow us to claim against it for stolen parts ....i threatened to tie a zed block round his neck and chuck him in the lake so i was told to stay away

Its a bad situation Steve and if I was in your shoes I would feel the same way lets hope you get it resolved and compensated for your loss in the mean time I would stay away from him and his friends they are not worth it mate. What a pity you were told to stay away and he was welcomed with opened arms:nono:

thanks Gary

i cant say too much as its all in the hands of insurances and legal people ..its a shit situation to be in but there has been loads of support off this forum and the orange one

currently my car is with Jeff and i have been promissed it back end of April ..its been 3 years off my drive now ..two at the place that cant be mentioned and its taken jeff nearly 12 months to sort it all out .....so looking forward to getting it all back ....and eventualy posting up some pics....i have pics of how i found the car after the "burglary" and its heart breaking because there was nothing at all wrong with it it just went for a turbo upgrade and forged internals build....it was immaculate .......

Whilst I feel for you and your situation, this has nothing to do with the organisor of this event.

And if this is the trader I think you are referring too, he does not trade on the 350z forum.

However, if I'm wrong, and any trader on the 350z-uk site owes anyone on this site money, please let me know and I will pass it on to the Team and let them decide if action should be taken.

I am shocked and saddened that moderators would warn people off this event, when all that we are trying to do is create a new annual event for Zed owners that doesnt involve massive trecks South for the Northern owners.

I hope you get your car sorted soon mate.

PS. I await flaming, or this post removed. *shrugs*

Lex Lex Lex lets get the facts sorted fella

1 Steve was told not to go on this trip by a member of another club as stated in his post.

2 As he was going to go and take a swim in the lakes with a member of this other club who mislaid some expensive property of his I sugested he should stay away to keep the peace.

3 I would encourage any member here to go to any meet no mater what club organised it infact if I lived in the NW of England I would go on this trip

4 If we the club did not want our members to go on this trip this thread would have been pulled long ago

5 the team you talk about no exactly what is going on

6 please get your facts right before your fingers hit the keyboard

its not the mods from this site, its the mods from 300zx-club.com, disgrace if you ask me but they protect their own no matter what they do

so please visit the above mentioned site and discuss your feelings with them

whoa. back-up a moment fellers.

My comment wasnt aimed at you guys.

The mods I was commenting about where those mods NOT the mods here.

So whilst I agree, I got a couple of facts wrong there, non of it was malicious to this forum.

I'm just trying to promote something which I have a hand in organising. I'm part of the 350z-uk club, and although I do have a log-in at Z-Club, I only go there to view the classifieds.

Your post was very confusing I did consider it was the mods on another site you were talking about but you made no reference to another club so took it you were talking about us and me in particular.

Apologies.

I was trying to keep names out of it, and I've been up working since 4am, too much caffeine!

Anyways, slightly back on topic.

If anyone would like more information about the meet. Feel free to ask here, or PM me.

So far we have 70 cars signed up.

Hotel is now fully booked, but camping is available (onsite showers and toilets will be provided). Camping will be £25 per pitch.

There are however numerous B&B's all within 5-10 mins.

A drive out is organised for the Saturday, but this is more of a social meet.

A band is going to play the Saturday night, and a buffet will be provided (at an addition cost per head)

Usual stuff too - show n shine, maybe a raffle. Details still being confirmed.

unfortunately posting comments like this makes us think you meant us, its not like their mods could delete your post on here

its a nice sounding meet but i think you need to have a word with the organisers from 300zx-club.com, they are allowing a criminal (allegedly) to go but not the victim (allegedly)

TBH im not sure this club are wanting to be involved with this type of thing, but it is being allowed as some folk from here may want to go and qauvey is putting in his own time to organise it

Apologies.

sounds like a great meet

The 300zx-club is out of my hands unfortunately. And I have no wish to involve myself in cross forum debates (went through all that with the two 350z clubs).

My organisation on this is purely an assistant rule to the main organisor (I work with him), and as a proliffic member of the 350z-uk club, I have only involved myself with that side of things. A forum which the trader in question is not a trader.

The primary organisation of this meet is through the 350z-uk club. It's a 350z-uk moderator who is organising it.

So whilst I understand the reluctance the people to associate themselves with the "other" forum, I think these feeling shouldnt be allowed to overly interfere with an event which has very little to do with them, other than they got the same invite this forum got.

But, each to their own.

Hope to see some of you there.

Gah, cant edit post.

If the member here was told not to attend (for whatever reason) I can only apologise, and again say that that kind of behavior form moderators (of any forum) goes against what the club communities are supposed to be about.

My post to Steve was to stay away from the former trader and his friends as it would have ended in tears.

What mods do in other clubs is out of our hands but the former trader would not be tolerated here INFACT he already is banned from this club

hi guys

gary is right , i know i have a very bad temper and im not a small bloke so i agreed to stay away so as not to spoil things for others , Alan and others know all about it and there comments are also valid , i am sorry if i stirred up any bad feelings it wasnt my intention i just want to get my car back and sorted and start enjoying it and teh zed community again ....i think all mods of every forum do a cracking job of organising stuff for others to enjoy and i dont want to bet the pilock spoiling it for everyone if i turn up

.......however some things should never be forgotten or forgiven ...if this had been one of the more hard line forums..skyline or Honda then there would have been a different and uniform approach to teh situation and not such a divided one as i have found exists in teh 300 world ...i know and will never forget those who have supported , helped , encouraged, coaxed and kept me going when i just wanted to give up and you guys are on teh top of my buy you a pint list when my zed is running again

steve

i meant all the different forums on the 300 network .....not singling out this one by any means, it was a generalisation .....

steve

could bring you a Baltica 11 from over here .......its loopy juice Gary

sounds like its gonna be a great meet at the lakes i hope all enjoy after the effort put in

to make it such a full weekend

steve
