She's got a HUUUGE 1392cc engine whacking out a staggering 75bhp to the front wheels!!

Seriously though, its in fantastic condition inside and out, and it's only covered 68,000miles!

awesome beast mate, be careful with them 75 horses hitting the front wheels. That sort of power will leave you breathless!! lol

I like it. If it's as clean as it looks then that's a cool car. Unpretentious daily and more eco than any Prius. Good choice fella.

i mainly chose it for the £303 a year insurance, which for a 22 year old with 0yrs no claims (cant use it on 2 cars) is pretty damn good! Plus not i can change the insurance on the Zed to social only and maybe get a few quid off.

plus i always liked 80's cars tbh. was either a mk3/4 escort, mk1 fiesta or mk1/2 polo.

Hi Rob,

why not try putting the ZX on a classic policy now you have a daily driver and move your current policy and NCB on to the Escort. It might cost you a lot less that way.....

......assunimg yo can get classic insurance at your age mate!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Funnily enough, I had classic insurance on my Sierra XR4 - but they wouldn't insure my Zed as a classic because of its age ('95).

Another company said they would insure it as a 'future classic' providing it was in a garage (which I don't have) and I did less than 20 miles a year (or something equally stupid).

But even if Rob managed to get 50% knocked off the Escort insurance, he'd still only be saving £150 (great at maths me). But the Zed insurance would probably jump by a grand!

DOn't expect a huge reduction for social use either. Now they've got you, they will bleed you dry until renewal time - insurance firms are all fookers, end of.
