on my mixer the pressure on the cold water is low, and now there is no pressure in hot water either to the tap or to the shower.

this has happened a few times and now its becoming a pain..

the pressure to the Sink is perfectly normal..

any help appreciated, also i do not have a combi.

Faulty mixer, maybe blocked or the valve sticking as the cold pressure reduces so will the hot for safety, a built in feature.

I'm sure some have inbuilt filters too. May be worth checking them for blockages?

try screwing the end off where the water comes out, they can be blocked

could also be that the washers are worn and the slider has jumped out of the groove in the tap and not allowing it to open properly, does it feel like it has as many turns on the tap as the basin taps

also possible they are tank fed and are airlocked? Sometime's on elson tanks and so forth if the ballvalve doesnt fill in quick enough when your filling the bath it can draw air in and air lock for the next time you turn the taps on, but cold water taps are usually mains fed

let us know how ya get on

are taps left or right hand thread? our upstairs hot tap has stopped working so gonna have a go at removing the valve bit.
