ive just got a 300 tt imported. as far as i no the only performance mod is the exhaust. i have been told that all ihave to do to get 400 bhp is to up the boost pressure by gettin something done with the ecu chip and removing the 150 mph cutout. can anybody explain this to me in simple terms and tell me how and where i can get it done. sorry but im a bit thick ! PLEASE HELP

Where abouts are you?

 

It's common that Japanese imports generally have a few mods already added including power increases. If your Z has an aftermarket exhaust then it's possible that it has other accessories like air filter and maybe boost jets.

 

Maybe there is someone on the forum local to you that would be happy to check it out?

 

Don't listen to the 'all I have to do' comments. Find out what your Z has got and only let someone modify it who knows what they are doing

 

Also, decide what you want from your Z. If you choose to start upgrading then be prepared to spend some ££.

Dave mate your right in a way that these cars can be uprated fairly easily but as you have just bought your`s do all the safety checks first, timing belt plugs ,fluids and filters boring I know but money in the bank in the long term and will make a more reliable modded car after.

steve, i live in peterburgh {east anglia} .ive met a guy called bob who works at a nissan main dealer who knows loeds about 300zx.had the car for one day and the main airflow sencor blew. took it to him and he sorted it. but i dont want to ask him too much coz his advice will cost me wot nissans charge. if you no wot i mean! do you no anybody nearbye who could give me a look

hi jeff yer your rite there. ive just had the cam belt done as the car is now done 60.000 miles.it also needs something doing on the front suspension whats worn out.so wot else do i need to get checked and done?

For a start call your bank manager and give him advance warning!
