Manuals are rear but there few about.

What price range are you looking at?

Stuart

Plan B could be to import a trashed one from Japan, use the gearbox to convert yours, then sell the rest to finance the project.

That was my plan until Kash apeared on the scene. There was one here (http://www.tau-net.co.jp) a few days ago that had blown turbos and the price worked out at about £1100 plus shipping and taxes ! It was a '93 model that had already been converted to manual and had a roll cage (!?!) and trendy wheels etc (and it was blue! wink.gif)

Sorry this is in the wrong forum, i tried to delete it and post it in wanted section,

I don't have the time to mess around switching boxes, I have a 1967 MG Midget and have enough trouble keeping that on the road :O)

I need UK spec because im 20 and insurance on an import is quoted at 4k!! UK spec quote is 2K,

I have 6k to spend but will pay more if the perfect model comes along,

4K !!!!! I'de seriously shop around as most zeds for sale tend to be jap (and the spec is better!)

B No rear fog lights?

C Speedo in KPH?

D 112mph speed limiter?

E No oil cooler on rear diff?

F Smaller oil cooler on the engine?

G No headlamp washers?

H Only 7,1/2" rear wheels?

I Not treated with underseal?

Im 20 :O)

One small point all 300ZXs are treated to underseal. I dont have a chime for reverse??

Buy JAP, get the following improvements:-

1 You get a manual as originally wanted

2 Lower mileage

3 Generally better serviced

4 Better looked after

5 Already upgraded

6 Folding mirrors

7 Better brakes

Plus most of the things you mentioned are sorted out for the SVA test.

The real downsides to a JAP are:-

1 Insurance can be difficult, but not impossible. Mine costs me the same as a UK one would of.

2 Headlight bulbs, but I have that one licked.

Will need to install an alarm, as not required in JAP LAND.

Leigh.

I have what you need, UK Manual TT
