URGENT REHOME NEEDED PLEASE HELP!

I AM URGENTLY TRYING TO HELP A FRIEND REHOME A LARGE MALE 3YR OLD ROTTIE!

HIS OWNER SADLY HAS TO REHOME HIM FOR PERSONAL REASONS, AND WOULD PREFER A LOVING EXPERIENCED HOME FOR HIM!

hard to rehome a 3 year old rottie, need's to be with someone with experience with large dogs and should be mentioned in the add as it could be fatal

 

hope for a good home for it but really should be given to a person who knows how to treat them and not just a nice family

 

sounds pompous and shite i know but its the truth, try looking for a rottie forum and advertise it there

i agree with stellaz theyr there really need to know how to be handle correcly or well itll be another devil dog in the papers..ok a bit extrem but they are dangerous dogs if not treated properly..oh aye id love to take it but av all ready got a stypid 8stone dog making a mess o the hoose

Av already got two rotties that were rescued as pups or i could have persuaded the gf : (

 

True about needing somebody that can control big dogs especially rottys because they can be very ignorant, mine only listen to what they are told if am going absolutely mental with them, the male could easily take my face off hes quite big even by rotty standards hes just turned 1 and weighs 9 stone, hes an absolute beast but soft as owt, thinks hes tiny still, cant sit down without him trying to climb on top of you for a cuddle!

25 years ago in my past life i used to buy/sell/train rotts for a partial living amoungst my propper job..i also worked with german sheppards shipping them to South Africa for security dogs.A 3 year old male Rott will need a firm hand and showing who's alpha before training can begin during which it should not have any contact other than the handler for a couple of weeks.The dog as a breed is a very safe breed and very loyal and loving BUT it must not forget the owner is the alpha due to its size and tendency to love physicle contact like "leaning" into your legs and pushing there heads into you..Wonderfull dogs if kept in check:wink:

they are lovely dogs and fancied one myself but i had my heart set on an american bulldog and im glad i got riddick, he is such a lovely dog

Reading that a lot of home truths came through! Everytime a walk in the door they're over nudging me in the balls and when a stroke the big lad when amsat down he leans so much his spine is over me knee cap!

i knew some of you were dog people, thats why I posted. I don't have a clue about dogs, never had one, they scare me!

Even dog lovers get a bit of a shock when they see arjan trotting over but hes so soft its ridiculous, hes never ever shown any kind of aggresion to humans or other dogs and i deliberatly brought him up playing with the kids in the street so he could get used to them, yet still i would never leave him alone with them as at the end of the day hes an animal and could turn at any second and give the papers something to go on about
