i am about to take the path of boost upgrade

but need some tec advise,

and i dont wanna start a war (lol)

my car is uk spec 92 on a k

if i us bleed valve's ,apart from the bleed valve's ahat am i going to need parts wise ??(apart from the obvius((bost gauge))?).

i dont wanna go down the parth of boost controller yet as funds don't permit!

but i am willing to consider an ecu upgrade ,but if i do that what parts would be needed there??

i suppose you can see what i am getting at ( i hope)lol

would appricate all tip's and advise good or bad

Philly:::

Buy the JWT ecu upgrade which includes boost jets for around 12-14psi and fitting instructions.

 

Cost is aound $500-$600 + shipping, taxes and exchange ecu

 

OR...I have Jez's JWT eprom (manual only) and a spare socketed ecu. I would have to persuade him to sell the eprom to you though

 

Have the boost presure checked by a gauge after you install them.

when you say eprom what do you mean

and i am fitting an aftermarket boost gauge next week so that shouldn't be a prob

mine is a manual

how much are we talkin and what would that get me ???(exhaust already done &hks induction)?

 

The JWT eprom (chip) will expand the stock mapping to allow safe running at the higher boost level.

 

14psi boost with exhaust and intake and JWT chip should give you between 350-380bhp at the engine.

 

Actual bhp all depends on condition of turbos's etc etc.

 

It would be best to use super unleaded or optimax when increasing the boost.
