Just wondered if anyone has used or currently uses one?. I had a decent set up some years ago and still have an Ariel etc

 

I'd love to get a rig similar to one i had a (Ranger Rci2950) and obviously apply for the license again

 

I was throwing out about 220 so could reach America/Russia etc no prob's :blink:

Used to be on my local band only, never had much interest back then in the amatuer band!

 

Still have a newer style maycom em27 with some mods!

Oh ok i did used to flick through the cb and mid band but was mainly on the higher bands and usb :)

Has a 22' hi gain on a steel scaffy pole attached to the side of the second floor of my mums house !

 

Also had a thunderpole mark II for a while!

 

Rig back then was a binaton 5 star !

 

Had a proper rig since a was 14 and never went through any midlands !

My mate had one of these..

 

He never used it, apart from listening to old biddies talking about their shopping. Never understood it myself. AND we have the internet now :1eye:

Not so bad when I stayed in Kilmarnock as all my mates were on the rig too!

Nice :) yeah i had a few a nice cobra mk1 for one! and still have an antron99 at the side of the house

Its just something i've always been interested in really and lol there is a whole lot more than that to listen to on a proper amateur radio ;)
