I finally got these delivered and i was gutted - having had to pay extra VAT duty, i tried to fit them and they are way out - silicone was too big and 2 of the pipes were too long... gutted!

Now they want me to pay the return postage if i want to return... so that is:

$90 for pipes

$75 delivery

$25 extra VAT duty

pipes no good and they want me to pay a further $75 delivery to get my $90 purchase price back!!!

buying cheap crappy pipes on ebay..... priceless!

i ordered some of these for caribzx nearly 2 weeks ago they been in customs for almost a week was released yesterday!! :cursing:

dan.

:confused1: mine went on with no trouble at all

Thats what they said... that they had sold loads to others who had had no problems. Did you find the larger silicone pipes were a good fit onto the outlets on the car? they fit on the pipes ok but were a good few millimeters to big for the car and it would pinch if tightened.

The 2 thinner pipes just seem to be a few millimeters too long to fit properly???

I will probably just trim them down and chop up my existing silicone pipes to be honest.

Dan did you have to pay extra to get them released from customs? I did, £16...£8 for the VAT duty and £8 handling fee!!! fekkers!!!

not heard anything about having to pay extra yet its cost £105 so far! it said on the tracking info the pipes are Out of Foreign Customs, February 25, 2011, 11:44 am, GREAT BRITAIN and Attempted Delivery, February 26, 2011, 9:40 am, GREAT BRITAIN!! me wife was home all day and they didnt leave a note to say they had called! lieing f**kers!!

dan.

yes the letter came today! to have the pipes delivered got to pay £17.82 to cover import vat and clearance fee!:cursing: so that makes it £123.25 in total and the pipes are being delivered tomorrow! hope caribzx is going to be happy with them!!:sweatdrop:

I'm going to give these another go and see if i can make them fit. I might have to chop up my existing silicone pipes and use them instead.

Maybe i just got unlucky as the guy said that they have sold loads without a problem, and securicar had no probs so.... lets wait and see.

Annoying about the postage though. Also when i asked the guy about returns he said that only if faulty and if they had been taken out of the box and wrapping that they would charge 25% restock fee. I questioned this and said that how could i know if they were faulty without taking them out of the box? he did not respond to this!

they were delivered yesterday and fitted them today, sorry about the pic! caribzx is pleased with them and go well with the black and chrome theme we are going for! final total price was £123.25.

How did the fitting go dan? was the silicone all ok? mine were definately just a few millimetres too big :crying:

yeah they where ok, had to trim a few mm off one of the smaller pipes to make a snug fit, the silicone fitment wasnt anything more than i have noticed on lots of different types of pipes fitted some are tighter than others but good clamps bring in a nice tight fit! once they where fitted sprayed some wd40 around the seals to see if any was being sucked in and make the revs lift but was ok.

dan.

I battled with mine again last night and this morning, and after cutting a about a cm off one of the smaller pipes i got them all on.... BUT the clips they sent are really good quality,. but the bolts stick out all over the place which looked really untidy, so i went down to the local auto mart place and bought some decent jubilee clips and put them on.

Now it doesn't look perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but not too bad. I dont have my phone or camera with me so no pics i'm afraid, but i'll get a few and post them tomorrow.

At least it wasn't a complete waste of money, and i do quite like the look of them, so all in all i'm pleased.
