Hey guys, quick question!

There is a black strip that runs around the entire of the car. On the back it's along the bumper and level with the licence plate and along the sides it's just low on the arch. You know probably know what i'm talking about ;)

Mine has just started to peel away, and I can see that quite a lot of you remove it. While I think it looks good with it removed, I also like it how it is now. Anyone know if you can get a replacement cheaply?

If not, if I were to peel it away is it usually perfect paintwork underneath?

Cheers!

Matt,

You've got three options...

1) Replace it with genuine OEM tape = ££ Expensive!!

2) Find a local graphics place and order some in the correct size - you'll have to order more than you need, but it'll be cheaper than Nissan OEM stuff. Have a word with SuffolkZX, as he has done this in the past so may be able to point you in the right direction.

3) Peel it all off, but this is not an easy job and will take quite some time to do properly. But it should be a proper paint finish underneath, unless you damage it taking the tape off.

One more thing. I have a pretty bad chip half way up the front side of the car (by the bonnet) and a little scratch on the front passenger side of my front bumper, anyone know how much it'd cost to touch them up? Know anyone in the midlands area that could do it?

I'd have a look round locally for one of them mobile Chips Away type people. Poss your best bet, unless anyone you know can recommend a good local sprayshop.
