This zed just keeps coming up and the price gets higher each time, maybe good news for us all?? is a nice bit of kit though

I think the problem also is some of the owners of the zeds. Not sure about other Jap cars however zeds keep coming up on ebay claiming to have in excess of 600bhp when clearly the work hasnt been done. These people are the ones giving zeds a bad name by trying to sell it as something it is not and then unable to provide any proof like a dyno. It is due to things like that when a zed like this comes along with an ad stating full spec to follow it makes you think why not just wait till you can complete the whole ad rather than losing out on potential buyers cos you dont know what is on the car? Oh another point as well we all regard our zeds highly however just because you have spent 30k on a car it doesnt mean it is worth 30k the price just reflects how much you would want to sell it for. :)

Im not saying Bmw's are crap im saying i simply would never swap my zed for any of them and i was talking about people with M series in particular. I have seen a few owners and they were all the same cause of the 'M' badge and IMHO zeds are much funner than them and the reason i was mentioning bmw's was because of the price comparison between that zed and the m5.

 

As for the price of the car , im still saying its worth it . if it was for sale for 5-6 k people would say its a bargain cause its stunning.

gonzo you're right about the silly ads but if an owner invests 30k on the car why would he want to give it away ? everyone knows you will never get near anything you spend on modified cars, this is what im saying other clubs dont say this about their cars, there's silly ads about every single make i dont think in general the high prices should get slated.

 

Im still hoping that someday the zed gets the recognision it deserves and unless the prices go up that will never happen .

without engine spec i wouldnt say its worth 13k, 9k maybe but 6 is way too cheap. will have to wait and see :)

I know what you are saying mate I would not swap my zed for a BMW either Iam just lucky to keep the zeds garaged and drive other cars in the bad weather. But a lot of BMW drivers do think they own the road but thats the drivers not the cars fault;)

For around 3/4 years i have bought nearly every edition of banzai and japanese performance every month and in all these years if theres 3 zeds in them that have more than a 2 page article its too much including Silverbullets zed.

 

It annoys me as we look at our club and there are so many lovely examples of zeds and people just slate the car in general outside this club without having any idea what car it is . Just shows the editors of both magazines much rather have a two page subaru impreza article than a zed one because they think nothing of our cars in general and its simply annoying.

 

We all know how complicated the engine is for people who arent mechanics and even for mechanics its complicated!That doesnt mean its not a fun car. Also for the ' unreability' comments about the zed are beyond rubbish imo its as realiable as any other twin turbo jap car, you just gotta take care of it , the ones ruining the zed imagine is the cheap rusty nasty ones !

 

And again i for one am really glad the prices are going up !

I think this is the zed when it was owned by Sgt C a member here several years ago so a lot could have been changed.

its not worth 13k no matter what you say or call me, i still reckon about 7k for it, standard engine, got a lovely interior but i dont see why no pics were posted of this, it also had some nice engine bits but no pics of this?

 

and personally i wouldnt buy off lee7s, 780z, lee5star car sales or whatever he is calling himself these day (maybe gt twin turbo), for starters he isnt called lee, find that very strange and he sold two zeds to members on here and both the engines went, i think jimmer had to repair both and no or very little refund's were given

 

also to add, i was offered this for 10k, and to me is one of the best zeds ever built, it is a total one off and is truly amazing, but unfortunately michelle being made redundant put a stop to buying it

This zed on ebay has been for sale for years at different times but because of its price it wont sell unless it ticks all the boxes for someone with more money than sense and to date it has been unsuccessful at finding this person. We are not putting our zeds down I have two of them and are my pride and joy but I know what they are worth to me and to the market:cool3:

stella if i was to buy a 13k zed i probably wouldnt buy that one neither but thats down to personal taste but im just simply not putting the price down thats all mate. and that orange one in that link is stunning never seen that one ever or heard about it . :p

i didnt buy a car wash it and try and sell it for 3-4k more than i paid, then when it didnt sell waited a while then stuck it up for sale for an further 3k
