I agree, as a zed club we should be pushing up the prices of our cars not mocking somebody that is trying to do it. Comments like "I'd rather have a BMW m5 for that money" are not helping the cause at all. Personally I'd rather burn my cash than own a beemer.

and as for the M5 comment ... id sooner drive a beaten up old zed than any M5.. they just dont have the looks , i cant think of of a car on the road today that even comes close to the looks of a Zed ... unless you really want to spend serious money

I can say in all honesty that the Z32 is my favourite car of all time. I know that there are faster, better cars around but none of them make my heart flutter like seeing a zed does. I find it very hard to believe that the prices are so low on them and anything that pushes the price up has to be a good thing :sailor:

to a true zed enthusiast our cars are priceless . i think some of the main reasons for our cars being valued lower than we would like apart from the obvious running and maintenance costs are the amount of other high performance cars available nowadays . the likes of subarus and evo,s to name just two . things of beauty they arnt but for someone who just wants the thrill of a fast car they are cheap options compared to a zed. when you consider every £ we spend on our cars basically adds about 20p to the value then only someone who actually loves the car would spend the money. myself personally i love my zed and therefore dont count the money thats been spent . i,d probably shite myself if i worked it out but then again when a complete stranger stops you and comments what a beautifull car you have it makes it all worth while . long live the zed and if anyone wants mine its priceless and not for sale

I think it's good to see Zed's being advertised for higher values, but can anyone tell me what is special about that car as I know nothing about it? (and the eBay ad is shockingly bad)

its good to see however its a buyers market unfortunatly and people will only pay what they want to pay. once the z32s numbers fall it will become a sellers market where demand will be higher than supply. thats all price and worth is really supply and demand. unfortunatly atm people want to pay £1000 for a zed thats seems to be what most people are willing to pay. sad but true. i dont think our cars have the greatest following from the magazines either. how many skylines scoobies etc do you see gracing the front covers of the glossy and how many zeds do you see. would i prefer a skyline would i shit, the only way we can change valve is by making them more desirable and sheading the label of "a ticking time bomb". i guess this could be achived by bringing back car of the month and the like and actually doing something with these for exapmle sending them to the gloosys saying this is the 300zx uk owners club car of the month. what do you think? or even car of the year its till january perfect time to do that. mad maxes zed should definatly be front page glossy news and so should a few others on here.

so il be the first to say this year i pledge to be full of club spirit and push the word about how good zeds are and hold up the flag for my team.

If silver streak can sell for £7k with 500ish bhp £13k on a stock engine is dream land.

 

And me saying so wont push the prices down, the stupid running costs of a Zed do that by themselves. They are now in the enthusiasts car group. Those that can afford and are willing to pay the money to keep them running dont care how much they are to buy cos thats not why we own them.

That has always been a beautiful example and its good to see it being advertised for decent money, I truely hope it sells and the new owner takes it to a few shows to help promote the 300zx and boost interest, that in turn will help increase the value of other good quality 300zx's, right now there are more bad examples than good ones and that is whats holding the price down.

good on him pushing the price of shorties up :) mine must be on for 6k then :) will see what Jeff reckons for the agreed value next weekend.

 

There are a few zeds on ebay at the moment that do seem a little over priced for the current market but prices are on the way up from what i have seen.

 

Will be interesting to see full spec should be pushing about 600bhp for that price however no engine pics could of given at least one :( dealer seller as well will put on about 3k

Are you Talking about a agreed insurance value ?as any value you put on it yourself means nothing if you end up making a claim..

The prices of Z32's won't go up significantly yet untill all the old tat and crap have been crushed. There are far to many piles of crap out there where the owners simply can not afford to keep them running, subsiquently when they decide to sell them on at dirt cheap prices. The sooner these ones are got rid of the better, but thats not going to happen just yet, I'd say we're looking at another ten years before that happens.

 

As for the price of this one, it's simply over priced in the current times.

We all wish they'd be worth more, but bitching when someone states that a car is over priced is simply not being realistic, but everyone is entitled to an opinion, and that's mine.

You could make it £50,000 you will still be lucky to get £2,000 if it gets knicked unless you have it agreed

i see the re occuring theme of z prices rears its ugly head yet again......if it helps you will all be glad to know that supra prices are now going down so at least the supra guys are now beginning to feel your pain albeit 5 years later.......

Maybe its just me but i just cant see the appeal that BMW's give. i personally think 80 or more percent of people who drive m3's ( no offence stellaz not you lol ), m5's etc are just cocky and think they're ' bigger' than anyone else in the road. I would never sell my zed for whatever bmw there is . As for the prices imo jimmer is right , whatever zed comes up for more than 10 k people always tend to slate it, no wonder on supra/skyline forums they mock zed owners , not even zed owners themselves respect the prices that are put on our cars.

 

I know i wouldnt sell my zed for 10k right now , the money i've wasted on it has surpassed it and will be even more soon and what about the time and ' love' i've put on it for the last 3 years? No way id sell it for 10k and yet im almost certain if i put it up for that price id be slated.So when anyone tries to slate a price you should see the money and work that has been put on it tbh . Not having a go at anyone at all but i think we as a club shouldnt do it, i for one am quite sick of people driving supra's single/twin turbos (example) looking at us like we drive a bloody chavved up corsa.

A lot of us here drive a BMW as they are well made, reliable,every day fun cars even I have one lol as for 300zx prices we can not influence the market if we want to sell our zeds they have to be realisticlally priced to sell.

This zed on ebay has been for sale for years at different times but because of its price it wont sell unless it ticks all the boxes for someone with more money than sense and to date it has been unsuccessful at finding this person. We are not putting our zeds down I have two of them and are my pride and joy but I know what they are worth to me and to the market:cool3:
