Hey guys, im wondering whats a better option to hold safely 500 + bhp , the z1 clutch special with flywheel or the Rps max clutch with the fidanza flywheel as im ordering this week and im not 100 percent sure whats a better option.

Also is the Ams underdrive pulley good? and i know i have to get the water overdrive pulley aswell.

Thanks in advance : )

i have the RPS cluth with fideanza fly, handles my power well, i run t28s at 16 psi when its dry, estimated over 430hp and the clutch feels beautiful, highly recommend it. i know im not at 500hp + but just giving you my 2pence on the RPS.

cheers guys , yeah gonzo i have but the only one i like is way over 2000 dolares and tbh im not willing to spend all of that on just a clutch right now , so ill go for the rps. Just had a look on the dta site and they seem to speak highly of it . Cool thanks mate i think ill give jeff a quick call :d

I had the z1 clutch and flywheel combo. The clutch was worn out at 10.000km. Think I might have gotten the NA clutch by mistake. Z1 wouldn't belive that the clutch only lasted for 10.000km. Claimed it was installed wrong. So a waste off money on me. Bought a southbend clutch from CZP that could hold about 500TQ. Really satisfied with it. A bit of an on/off clutch but still possible to do slow starts with.

i was and will be still running the RPS and fidanza set up ..had no issues with it at all at 360 bhp and expect none after my build with 450+bhp

i have sent my flywheel to a local shop to test the balance, and it was 100% balance.

How much did they charge for shipping and import duty sky?

Cheerz,

Al.

BUMP for SKY. How are you getting on with this clutch now dude? Still happy with it?

Just to add, I bought one of the XTD 6 puck items with a chrome moly lightweight flywheel off eBay from 'aimcoclutch'. I have to say I was quite amazed at the quality, price and shipping speed, more than satisfied.

My only slight niggle is that there isn't a lot of 'feel' in the clutch and it's a bit stiff, I'm just splitting hairs though as you can't have it all ways...great for normal driving, not so good at low speed.

Cheers

Nice one H. I bought the same clutch/fly combo quite some time ago and am finally nearing the time to get it fitted as part of my manual conversion. I know another member is aboutt to fit the same one also.

Glad of the positive feedback as I've been a little apprehensive about it, mainly due to the price. But like you say the service was awesome and seems like quality kit.

Good to hear someone is happy with this clutch as my stage 3 combo is going to be fit very soon but will not be tested until well into the new year as I have sorned it for this work and much much more
