Fuel Filter and Golden Showers

Is the fuel pump relay in the drivers or passengers kick panel?

Does removing it and starting the engine until it dies, then cranking for 10 seconds remove the pressure?

I only ask this because I love to smoke huge quantities of pot when working on my zed and I want to change the fuel filter without blowing myself up LMAO!

Drivers kick panel glen..

Remove the two screws that screw it to the bulkhead (behind the pedals), one screw in the 'face' of the kickpanel, you also need to remove the front one (or two) screws of the sill plate, because the kick panel goes under it.

Big green relay, disconnect, start, then crank for a little.. job done

BTW, you will still get spillage, and the fuel filter holds a lot of fuel!

Do us a favour... don't smoke while you're doing it.. smile.gif

An easier way is to leave the car overnight and most of the pressure is gone, then when you release the fuel lines there is just normal fuel loss, be prepared by wrapping loads of kitchen roll around the filter and the area below.

Oh and the original filter should have a black insert tube fitted in the output end pull it out by inserting a screw down it to grab it and fit into your new filter,it is important you do this as I have seen many with this missing.

(Ps they were fitted to both imports and Uk cars)
