Front door speakers

Got some 6x9s (Kenwood KFC 6907) and wanted to know whether they would fit ok in the front doors?

Is anyone able to help? Just thought I'd ask the question before taking the cards off.

also, I assume I won't need an amp to run these? I assumed they would run just fine off the headunit.

Thanks

Should do, mine took a bit of modding but not a lot iirc.

Suppose it depends on the wattage if an Amp is needed?-I have a 50watt h/unit that runs 300 watt speakers fine.

That's the problem...I have no idea what the specs of my headunit are. It came with the car....I do have a 12" sub too which I'm hoping to stick in the boot so I guess I may as well invest in an amp to run both...

Cheers

Do a Make & Model number search on the web for the specs.

Or post up here and someone may be able to help.

I know absolutely bugger all about ICE.. but I do know that one of my previous Z's I fitted 6x9s in the front doors, just cut the door card to suit and mounted them, they looked and sounded great. :thumbup1:

Cheers dude...I think that'll probably be the route I need to go down...just want to see if anyone has a definitive answer for me before I go mutilating the Zed!

they are usually pretty easy to fit there if you use a bit of mdf to pack inbetween the door card and the door you get a more secure fitting
