did you look at the mx6?

Lol its the same engine as the Probe he just sold! He's still torn between a big cruiser like the mazda or something smaller, more eco.....

I've told you before! Get something small and french, there are less than 4 moving parts. Yes the trim will fall of but there isnt anything to go wrong with an 8v 4 pot! As long as there is oil and water in there and a pint of petrol it'll run for a week!

Agreed with Quavey I can personally recommend an old 106 flat diesel

Lol I had one of those, it was like driving with a ball and chain!

Test drove the Mazda, well Marc did. Nice car but the bloke had an offer of £650 on it which was moer than we wanted to pay - and Marc realised that really, it would be better all round if he got something smaller, more eco, so think he's off to view a Puma later on......

You must have changed your cars about 6 times since you joined the forum :D lol

Avoid the puma like a plague! The insurance is much much more than it should be, i went to have a look at one and i could insure a 3 litre supra for the same price at the time

Between us, me and Marc have had 11 cars in 20 months - we get bored easily!! Just trying to fill the massive gap left by Zedward til we finish uni and buy him back off Marty lol

Pumas are pretty good on insurance for us - Marc's 24 so supra is out of the question!!

how about a lovely SR20DE almera GTi?

rare as rocking horse poop tho! Decent cars

I thought this was hell of a car for the money, but a 4.0 v8 import could be a little pricey on fuel and insurance.

Bloody hell you're beating me

I had a supra at 23, cost me £400 fully comp with 5 years no claims - ah those were the days :)

Mind you the V8s only cost me £750 fully comp on a classic policy :hyper:

Lol! He bought the Puma!

We were looking at an FTO but insurance is expensive for me at 38, so impossible to insure Marc at the moment

wonder how long he'll keep this one - I haven't seen it yet lol!

That's probably because the FTO was never marketing here at all - unlike other Japanese inports like a 300zx or Soop. Consequently insurers will always consider it very expensive to replace parts if you have a prang.....

......Plus the fact that a lot of boy racers have bought FTOs as their prices have dropped.....

But good luck with the Puma; hopefully it should not prove expensive for you and Marc to run!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah I knew they were mostly imports although I believe there are a few uk cars. Anyway, the Puma looks tidy, will have a proper go of it at the weekend. It'll be cheaper to run than his 2.5l V6 Probe Rich ;o)

they look a bit like they are on stilts but apparently handle very very well with lots of grip

Jezza loves them ...nevet drove one or even know anybody that has ...very rare on the road .....the Puma Sport with the wide arches was a little road rocket

Puma sports are also pretty rare, they didn't make many of those! Had a little drive of the Puma last night, handling on it is fab - nice little car that!

at 23/24 My fto only cost me £500 on insurance and £600 on the supra, £600 on the gsi with no no claims (used on zed)

Alot of it comes down to where you live aswell

Pumas are very under powered and fords are never any good on fuel

Ford Puma 1.7 Maximum speed: 126mph | 0-60mph: 8.7 seconds Overall test MPG: 28mpg | Power: 125bhp | Torque: 116lb ft

Not very good lol!!! There must be better out there surly??

My gsi 150mph, 6.5/60, 210hp 190lb ft and i have managed just over 40mpg thats a 2.5 v6 lol!!!

You can get lucky and pick up the half decent one for about £700 for one of the 1st models. mint ones are about 2 k lol!!

We live in Teesside, so insurance is hefty as its not the nicest of places....

The Puma's ok, its Marc's, he likes it, too early to say yet.
