Am i right in thinking that there is only one plenum gasket under it in the middle and rubber re usable gaskets for the cam covers as i want to take it all apart and give it a fresh coat of paint.

TIA Mark

The exhaust cam covers, require sealant as there is no factory gasket, the intake cam covers have rubber gaskets, but still worth using a it of sealant, depending on condition

This post should help http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=146108

There is only one gasket for the upper plenum available through MJP forum trader, cheap at the minute, so i would get in there quick, you could ask about the oil cap O ring too.

Sorry to bump this thread again, but is the nissan oil filter worth buying. Ive found threads with people saying the k&n one are just as good if not better.

Is there really that much difference?

i've got the k&n one, cost me about 8 quid i think, whether it's better or not i don't know, but it does have a 19mm (i think) nut on the end which makes fitting and especially removing easier...

it did seem of very good quality i have to admit, whether there are any benefits i don't know, but k&n bull it up saying funky things...

Im going to get a k&n one, ive had troubles with getting filters off before and that nut on the end has sold it for me :D

how does a nut on the end make any difference? Run it up my hand and to remove, stab a screwdriver through it.

Oem for me. Costs about the same as the K&N.....from my local nissan anyway!

Thats probably the reason ill go for the K&N one, the nuts fixed as far as i can see. I hate stabbing oil filters. Always messy :D

I hate stabbing them too, even if there is loads of room (which there isn't really on a Zed) it's messy and I always worry i could damage the thread on the oil tree, last resort for me that...
