Given up trying to source new ones and need to take them off(to finish my respray), rejuvinate and replace.

I have done mine, just rubbed them right back with emery cloth, primed, glossed and then lacquered :cool3:

Thanks pal, there the links i've found. Looking for slicktop specific, did you remove yours? I'm going to paint mine the same colour as my wheels :cool3:

I cannot remember how I started to get them off although I do recall it involved sliding

Sweet. I had a better look at that link too, slicktops further down!! Looks like he just snapped the clips as he had new. Sure I heard somewhere that, like you say, they can be slid off? Thanks again.

Anyone else heard of the "slide" technique?

mine sld upwards to remove, but is a targa

They may slide off but as the clips are getting on don't be surprised if you break one or two of them. MJP A.K.A Mr F A.K.A Mike Feeney will be able to get new ones for you though.
