Hi

I tried fitting the N/A pump and bracket today with the lightened TT pulley only to find that the pulley doesnt line up with the crank very well when fitting the belt.

Am i doing something wrong? Or is that as good as it gets when doing this mod?

Thanks Dan

You can shave a small amount of the backplate and this alters the position of the pump.

Your not quite far enough enough out? i know it sounds Irish lol, but it moves it.

perhaps im quite anal when it comes to it being right then, the way i see it its undue stress being applied in the wrong direction on the pump bearings and can cause premature where on the belts, pump and pulley. they are only aluminium after all compared to the stock steel/cast one. probably nobody has ever reported this problem before of failures due to this but if they didnt see the miss alignment before then they probably wouldnt put 2 and 2 together..
