Help cant get the bloody window regulator out!Any body done it before?

...it can be done. I've taken one our (passenger side) and replaced it with a working one. It's a real pain - seem to remember bolting the window in the closed position first so that there was enough room inside the door to swivel the mechanisn enough for it to come out of the space normally taken up by the front speakers.

...good luck

Window closed. Ok thanks i'll give it a go

Sukkafoo - as Jack says, window closed (tape it up with duck tape)..

But - first..

wind the window down a little way so that you can see the two 10mm bolts that bolt the window to the 'rail' that goes up and down (there are two holes in the inner door skin near the top). Unbolt the window, and pop it off the rail, while someone else holds the top, then get them to lift the window up so it's fully closed, and tape it there.

Unbolt the four 10mm bolts on the motor, and two 10mm bolts on the short section of lower horizontal rail on the scissor, then compress the scissor assembly so that it is one long bit of metal

Now wiggle/jiggle/curse at the door, and it'll come out..

Sorry - vague, but you'll see what I mean when you are looking at it smile.gif
