i have spent some "more" time in the garage today and have managed to carbon some carefully choosen interior parts. I plan to cover the blind holder and a rear panel from either side so will post up when i do.

Gone extremely well and have now after a full weekend of applying this stuff i have burnt of my finger prints.

Looks good :thumbup1: nice finish

Is it just the stuff on a roll?

Tell us more :hyper: I love carbon it makes me have a sex wee :xxx: Is it the real thing and are you going to resin it ?

yer it comes on a roll remus

rubble, no i wont be appling resin to it at this stage but what i am going to do is apply a coat of laquer on one of the panels and see how it looks.

Did those myself, plus the air vents right in at the windscreen. I also did the MOMO steering wheel centre as well as the radio surround.

You tend to get carried away once you get one piece looking good, and start to unbolt stuff you hadn't thought of in the first place.

I also conciderd trying the following:-

wing mirrors

panels between the front and back windows on each side

Headlight inserts

Nose panel between the lights

The strip across the front of the car where the indicators and fog lights are mounted

the face of the instrument cluster ( plus add some chrome rings )

You look like you got a great finish on yours, some of the first bits I did need redone to get it as I would want it.

Top Job.

headlight inserts i havent thought of. the fog light strip would be a bitch to do as its has parts which are set back quite a way.

check out my other post in the Z realated chat " i little something i did in the garage" i think its called, i carboned the roof...

bloody hell mate, you make that look easy!

may have to buy some and have a go on a few bits myself!

that looks great , did you do a detailed write up on it with piccies somewhere ?? and where did you actually buy the roll of carbon from ?? rough cost a square meter ??

cheers mate , carry on with the excellent work , think your rear view mirror and door mirror pods would look well sweet carboned over

lol thanks guy for the positive comments, i am going to do a full write up and have it made a sticky. I may also start doing some parts for people on here if the interest is there? although i dont know where i would find the time as its very time consuming and if you like me, if it not right or even the slightest wrinkle its not good enough!

you can buy the genuine stuff on ebay "3m carbon wrap" make sure its genuine stuff though. It cost £29.00 for half a square meter there abouts. I bought enough to span the roof sections in my other post which i carbon wrapped and did the interior parts with the bit left over. i also plan to cover my rear de-spoilered infill panel in carbon now, orginally the plan was to have it painted but the carbon really does look the nuts.
