fitted some HIDs a few weeks back and it was the first chance i had got to go out in it last night.

i have since looked at adjusting the beam pattern had succesfully adjusted the height bringing the passenger side down a tad, but my biggest problem is the beam pattern on the drivers side.

Passenger side when parked in front of my nice white garage door emits a nice white beam into a noticeable spot.

Drivers side no matter how hard i fiddle with it is just a splayed pattern with no light spot? how can i overcome this or adjust it, it annoys me every time i return from a drive in the dark.

The drivers side is also slightly yellow but i would expect thats because its dirty inside..

The adjuster could well be bust and is very common as they are plastic cogs, doing nowt just going round and round

Can you actually see the lenses moving as you are screwing?

It'll be the dirt insider the projector/glass, you'll never get a nice defined beam if they are dirty, there's an FAQ on removing and cleaning them makes a mahooosive difference mate, bit awkward to get em off, but well worth doing... HTH.

and as above (didn't see that post) the adjuster could be broken, as said very common, need to remove the light to replace anyways...

yer i can clearly see them moving up and down and having read some older posts i cannot see the hid bulb through the lense so i imagine they are grafted, ill have a go at cleaning them tomorrow but getting inside the projector lense looks a right job? need a really long and skinny finger for that i imagine? i will also give the glass removel ago while they are in situ, looks easy enough... famous last words....

To reach the insid of the projector lens, get a thin paintbrush or similar and put a bit of cloth taped on the end. Use an alcohol based cleaner or good glass cleaner on the cloth only and not too much.

managed to clean the insides today with a custom made tool..

cut and bent a paint tub handle and wrapped the end in rag. They where grafted!! much much cleaner now, if any of you are thinking of doing this i had attached the pic of the tool and shape you need to make.
