Featured Replies

The UK car has 8,1/2" on the rear and yes they are interchangeable.

The Jap ones are narrower.

And for good measure, here are the actual tyre sizes:

Japanese:

front & rear: 225/50Z16

NB.: if your Jap spec Zed still has the original Japanese tyres on the wheels, get rid of the tyres ASAP - they are made of a different compound and are not suitable for UK roads - i.e., your rear end will constantly try to overtake your front end - just ask any of the guys on this forum wink.gif Recommended tyres: Bridgestone S-O3.

UK:

front: 225/50Z16

rear: 245/45Z16

Cheers wink.gif

Too right ! When I first got mine it had three new Marshalls (yuk!) and one odd jap spec thing on the rear. That was interesting I can tell you. Fortunately it wore out after about a month (!) and I ended up with four Marshalls for about the next 5000 miles. Then I got S-02's and the world was a much happier place ...

Danny - no way are you touching my tyres m8 wink.gif

Fronts are 225 on a UK not 255 wink.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Wheel sizes are... Jap 7.5 x 16" all round

UK 7.5 x 16" front 8.5 x 16" rear.

Tyres can be various sizes depending on the previous owner wink.gif

Oh sh*t - my fault guys - thanks Andy - UK front tyres are indeed 225! I've corrected the mistake. Must have been thinking about something else when I wrote that post wink.gif

Oh, and Banzai, the tyre widths I posted earlier should be the maximum for the stock alloys. Any different size and you face distorting the tyres which inturn affect handling (and usually in a bad way!)
