Which venue ??

Got the chance of tickets for a gig, choice of the Manchester Arena,

or the O2 in London.

Anybody got any views on which is best ?

Would be looking for a hotel for an overnight stay as well, Premier Inn or such like.

Will be flying down from Glasgow to Manchester, or Gatwick, depending ?

Is the travel to either arena from the airports mentioned easy or what ?

All suggestion much appreciated,

Cheers,

Alan.........

I only know MEN, it's a cracking venue, very big, and the train station is literally underneath it, plus plenty of places to stay mate...

As a southerner, from the 2 you mention, I have only been to the O2 and, I have to say, it's a damn good venue for any concert!!

I saw Jeff Wayne's "War of The Worlds" there back in December 2008 BTW - and pretty awesome it was too!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I loved war of the worlds, have the dvd, but sadly never got a chance to see it live.

Both are cracking venues mate, just depends where you fancy.

I've got the DVD too, and being a musician, I'd give anything to see the show live :(

Me too

Roger Waters, performing Pink Floyds The Wall.

It has been rumoured the Dave Gilmour will be joining him at one or more of the O2 gigs ?

Flights from Glasgow to both places cost around the same, give or take.

Being a Caledonian, both places are foreign to me, so all input will be much obliged !

Seen this gig in Earls Court way back in 1980, and around 300 fans slept over night in Earls Court tube station coz we were too late back to make the connection to Euston !! Polis were well sick of us that night ! :innocent:
