What with my travel exploits yesterday, Xmas lunch was off the menu. So last night's xmas dinner consisted of me and me dad having rib-eye steak with home made chips (parsnip and potato). Lush as it was, the absolute best thing about xmas is the big dinner with all the trimmings. So, half hour ago a 14lb monster was royally stuffed into the oven and the folks are preparing the veg as i type! My sister and the kids are coming over for some sledging in a mo, then it'll be the big event later this afternoon. I love Xmas!
What was the best bit of your dinner yesterday and what do you do differently (if anything) to give it a unique twist? Last year I did sweet-chilli carrots and parsnips, but not sure about this year. Maybe get all Heston-Blumentall on the sprouts or something!
Anyways - Happy Xmas everyone, hope 2011 is a good year for all you lot:santa:
