I have a stage 1 Saab 9-5 HOT Aero, sometimes, not all the time under full acceleration in 3rd, 4th & 5th as the car reaches peak boost (1 bar) it will surge (rapidly flutter in and out of boost), when it does it I can actually see my boost gauge going wild and hear the boost fluttering when the window is down.

Like I say it dosnt always do it - only when the map is requesting high levels of boost from the turbo (dosnt always i.e if fuel is good, air density is good etc etc).

My question is though, why does my car do this? Turbo too small? Turbo too big? Poor mapping? knackered bov? boost leak?

Cheers guys,

Dan

Sounds like it's fuel starvation? Eg it wants more than it's getting! Might need bigger injectors! The map should have been done with standard injectors in mind!
