has anyone has a problem with the fitting of these on their car, in particular the right side touching the body of the car at the front slightly, and if so how did you rectify this?

 

ive had mine fitted and they match up great, but just where the bend is it thouches the underside of the car on under the drives side.

Common problem that oddly does not effect every zed, if it does however a few careful dressing blows with a hammer on the pipe will sort it, offer it up and mark the pipe where it touches, remove again and dress the pipe according, do it in small adjustments, refitting and checking each time, nicer to keep the adjustments to a minimum.

 

Fitting these pipes is easier on zeds with manual gearboxes as they are slimmer than the auto gearbox, similar careful adjustments can be made to the pipe here too.

 

 

As a side note we have concluded that this problem effects some zeds and not others is due to the engine mountings, either worn/broken or if the engine has been out and when refitted the mounting has not located correctly ( see this often )

thanks, Jeff. I will be in touch soon about getting the heater matrix replaced, i did a coolant flush and still cold air, and now the steam from the lower vents has come back, so as instructed i take it a heater matrix replacement is in order.
