firing on four

help please zx32tt 1990 import only firing on four. swopped coil packs and plugs all

good.rotated cas by hand all injectors good.

Is it possible PTU is going bad.All electrical conections cleaned up and crimped.

Pulling hair out,please help.

ps How much is a new PYU

Presumably you've checked BOTH connectors on the PTU? If so it could either be the PTU going bad or a couple of broken wires on the loom to the coil packs...

 

Another (remote) possibility is that the ecu connector isn't properly seated and so no signal is even reaching the PTU for those cylinders...

all connectors and ECU fine before i lost no1 and no2 it use to idle perfect but under load it would sound like it was running on five

In that case, I'm gonna say something I hate saying - do a compression test. This will give you an indication of the condition of the bores and heads. If the fueling is correct and the spark is present I can't think of much more to check before doing a compression test. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though wink.gif
