Got me a dyno session in solihull tomorrow morning! Im interested to see what my zed is kicking out now, and serves as a good benchmark before further tuning.

Its a 1990 zed, TT Manual, 73k on the clock. Engine mods are an apexi induction kit, decatted and custom exhaust, and slightly larger ARC intercoolers. No other mods.

Question is - what HP is it gonna make? (At the wheels)

To start the ball rolling, my target is 250hp at the wheels, so with a 20% loss through drivetrain, gets me up to 300hp again!

Closest to the actual answer gets the respect and admiration of other forum members. what more could you want :)

are all of those at the wheels!?! some optimistic guesses there i think... unless im grossly underestimating the difference a few simple mods makes!

answers this evening!

mine were Flywheel hp calculations so 297. or 304 as before

Dont know who does the dyno there now Greg has set up on his own.

Will be nice to see the results, may even pop round..

you doubters! the owner said it was one of the healthiest zeds he'd seen for a while - so which of you went there before me!

its making 270hp at the fly - nice smooth delivery, but peak power is at 5300rpm, as peak torque is at 4600rpm, then drops rather sharply.

Strangely, its making more torque than power, which i thought was rare - its still got 280lb/ft.

very tempted to remap the ecu now to hopefully get up to around 320hp - i really fancy having a car with 200hp per tonne. will be speaking to jeff about it at some point.

they did'nt give you the rear wheel figure then ?

Spose it depends on the engine - mine currently makes a healthy 280lbft at 4600rpm, but then drops steadily down to 180lbft at 7000rpm. that then pulls the power down as well.

hopefully with a bit of chip work i can keep the torque curve flatter at high rpm and so keep the power climbing all the way up the red line. Gonna aim for 300lbft and 320hp.

and no, didnt get a rating at the wheels - i wanted it comparable to the magic 300!
