Irrc I think its only a matter of remove the inner wheel arch liner and 2 bolts to completely remove it.

damm it, thanks craig. do you know if this is necessary for a coolant flush?

tbh Ive never done it for a flush, Just use a good coolant flush first, Ive always used Forte coolant flush and then use there cooling conditioner aswell, touch wood ive never once had a cooling issue in any of my cars. I do tend to jack the car up from the diff to help get all the old crap out though but dont think its really nessasary.

thanks again Craig. good luck with the turbo sale too mate. very good price.

just take your time and bleed the system well for airlocks as it sounds as that may have been a factor with your heating issues, also worth changing the thermostat and checking the housing isnt all clogged up with crap

done the water pump and thermostat within the last 3 weeks, funnily enough after that, thats when the car began blowing cold air and steam occasionally from the vents, taking the car 260 miles to Z world on sat in the snow, so should be interesting, i was just looking at your car, is alomst identical to mine, :-) ive got a black SWB TT with black wheels 99 spec front and rear and high level spoiler, quick question mate, how many miles do you get to a tank in your car? i struggle to get over 200 and wondered if the spoiler wheels and being a SWB were a factor?

No mines about the same fella just over 200 if im lucky, I got rid of the spoiler tbh it wont be making any difference to your mpg, I always find putting 99ron fuel greatly imroves the running and mpg in mine, Even though its more expensive it works out cheaper in the long run.

just changed the pics in my rides now as you just reminded my my cars changed alot since i added them. lol lso remember swb's have a smaller tank then the lwb.

i only use mine on the 99 ron stuff too, been told i need to since its japspec, funny tho as i thought the SWB would be better on fuel, but seems theyre worse, most LWB guys get 250-300+ but considering i put 70 quid in its not that pocket friendly. but thanks for letting me know your in the same boat,

do you have any running issues with yours, ie 02 sensors, or bad injectors etc. seems were averaging 14-16 mpg. (sorry this is going off topic but your the only other SWB guy i've spoken to)

Mine was running bad untill i changed all my coilpack and injector plugs, now its running lovely but im taking it off teh road now to fit all my new toys, 19" wheels, Big brake upgrade, Coilovers, forged engine with bugger tubs etc, Hicas and aircon deletion, Koyo Rad, Manual conversion, Boost controller and guages, New interior and boot install. Gonna be a busy winter.

just looked stunning Craig, changes look great, which tubs did you go for? will have to give me an update on performance as im looking into bigger ones myself, so far JWTsport 500s look like the way to go, i currently have t28s which i love, but im used to the power and now want to aim for 480 hp +

Im only looking for 400-450 so ive got stage 2 hybrids with 555 injectors etc. I dont want to make the car too un usable on the roads.

  • Author

what is stage 2 my friend and how much did they set you back ,the sport 500s are £1400

Nissan 300ZX (manual) Stage 2 S132R good for between 360 - 430 bhp £735.00

I didnt buy new ones, I wanted to see how these go and if im happy with the performance before spending out thousands on brand new turbos

when are you fitting them ? and going to have the car running, post up an upgrades thread, im sure many on here would like to follow it and your progress. i for one am very interested.

Ill probably be fitting the new engine in jan or feb, I want to get xmas out of the way then remove my current engine and take some time in the engine bay deleting Hicas and aircon, relocating passpot and fuse boxes etc, then ill be fitting all the new stuff around feb, and touch wood have her finished and the engine run in ready for the good weather.

I might start another thread then and keep up with pics.
