Been wanting one for ages, soooo expensive tho. Happened to mention to my dad, who used to be a photographer, that I was saving for one, and he said "I'll send you my Canon EOS 400D as I have got a newer one and this one's just sat in the cupboard"!!!

Rule of thumb for a beginer is for every 100 pics taken 1 is a keeper, any more than that and your doing well :)

Thanks, it was my dad's spare when he was a photographer, but he doesn't need it any more. I just plan to buy a couple of big memory cards, and snap away like mad and get a few good ones out of them!

Not bad at cars, usually good at close up stuff, better at people shots when they're doing something rather than a posed pic and I cannot wait to do landscapes in this area - the views over the moors are awesome, wish I'd got a 4 x 4 now so that I could get out in the snow and take some pics :wink:
