I have a 91 import zx and it has TWEED SEATS!! anyway I would love to replace them at somepoint with leather but I don't have the money at the moment. I was just wondering what i could do to reapair the seat for the time being. Its a blue grey tweed seat and the rip is where they normally go on the right hand side of the drivers bolster. Everytime I get in and out of the car foam from the seat just flakes of onto the floor and its really annoying and looks rubbish, so what can i do? cheers people

Gaffa tape.

then put a seat cover over it, until you get funds.

Or 1 litre of petrol and a match should fix it pretty quickly..:tt2:

you could probably buy some fabric based glue to stick on a patch too.

Or you could just close your eyes every time you get in and out and hope that no-one else notices..

Unless your good with th sewing machine I would get a car trimmer to sort it ... I'm having mine all recovered in alcantara .. Mine are blue velour & in good condition so after they're re covered I will be putting the old velour up for grabs on here, as all the individual panels will be I deal for the likes of your self if u required blue velour of course to use as a repair!

Get a pic up, im sure that the velour seats were blue/grey. The tweed was light grey or dark grey from UK car.

yes in deed, is this colour specific to the car then?

I think so, the general colour was grey for most cars, but because the blue cars also had the blue dash and interior, they must have dyed the tweed to match.

There are a few owners on here who have original blue cars that may have what you need
