A couple of pics below taken whilst doing a cambelt change, the water pump is removed and you can see into the water ways, the left hand one has a line of casting flash from when the engine was produced which could potential effect water flow rate.

 

Not a major issue in the real world but this was a very late model and something you see less of on the earlier models, maybe cost cutting as the model came to the end of production?

i have two earlier tt blocks in my lockup and they both have the same thing, im going to try and clear the channel all the way to the back of the block while its stripped down. its aweful how much restricted flow there is!!
