I think as usual the ad has been hyped. If you had rebuilt the engine with all the new mods, i would expect it to look cleaner and tidier than it does lol

Who knows for sure until its been on a dyno

  • Author

well we chucked the bid on as it was cash on collection and intended on a dyno run and full test before paying.....

apparently accoring to some companies iv seen they say larger injectors and changing the boost will easily take the car to 500bhp... and these guys have multi millions of feedback on ebay..? god knows these days

hummmm,

i for one wouldn't want to run 800bhp on a stock rad, stock throttle bodies and no signs of a MAP or AIT sensor which would indicate he's still running a MAF!!

definatly see if you can get a dyno sheet off him, i bet you'll never see one ;)

exactly a dyno would be essential...

the plan was to remove the engine from the car to start a

ddr motorsport kit car... if the said engine actually was 650bhp it as the target power we wanted in the first place for the mclaren f1 kit car. http://www.ddrmotorsport.com/sp4.php

if the car had 650bhp it would weigh in at just over 600bhp per tone so 1. look like a mclaren f1 but 2. be just about the same power at a tiny fraction of the cost.... was looking at spending 30k on the whole car to be finished but this zx engine came up so thought could get that n put it in

i know this looks like its just an idea but its been in planning for a year to go ahead in 2012 and has had a lot of plannign and desgins etc

Out of interest, how would you get the VG engine in the rear to work, transmission wise?

your name would have to be wayne rooney to throw £8000 at a minger like that.

It has the spec to deliver that sort of power (650hp + nos @flywheel), if thats what your asking, yes. Wether it actually has that power is a different matter, but still impressive and should fetch £8k.

Engine bay looks very typical of a car modified in japan, inc stock rad..etc

Why would you need 800bhp in a "Drift Monster"?

that was my first thought on reading the ad title !!!!

I dont think stock heads will give you up to 800. I think he may be lucky and getting 650 then a potential 150 shot of nos however if that is put into the engine things may start to fall apart. Claims aint much good without a dyno idiots claim everything

that's exactly what I was thinking and I'd bet there's no paperwork to back up the spec list.

So why don't you put a bid on jaffa32's bits and build yourself a really nice engine :)

the spec list looks plausible for a lot of power, but looking at the state of the engine bay I'm surprised it even turns over let alone delivers that much power!

Hi Johnnytsang

As Bob mentioned.

i have for sale allot of high end gear which will make and support 800bhp.

You will then have the choice if you want to max it out or run it at less power.

I have a comprehensive list of parts. Allot of prep work already done i.e. block has been machined and preped, heads are polished and ported. Just needs assembling.

Which is a good thing as you will have a new engine and you will know the exact spec depending who built it you may have a warranty.

As where buying a Zed already claiming to have X amount of bhp, you don't know the ins and outs could been a second hand engine dropped in, could be mistakes, might not even be the spec it's claiming, too much risk involved.

have a look here.

It's one of these typical, The enthusiast did this, I bought it and let it go for sale adds.

The spec list sounds good for 800 with the nos, but come on dude clean the fooking engine bay if that's the selling point of the car.

Looks like crap, obviously might have been pulling that kinda bhp at one time, but looks about ready for the scrappers now. If i was gonna spend 8k Id want it presented a hell of a lot better then that!!!!

Im suprised we have so many heavily slagging it off. The exterior, interior and rest of car look great and the spec is top stuff.....

but "a minger" , "suprised it turns over" , "ready for the scrappers"... its just a dirty engine bay !

Ofcourse if your buying it for the spec then your going to want receipts, dyno printouts..etc of proof of parts and work done.

It may well have the spec but if the car hasnt been looked after then how long will it last, Would you spend 8k on a car with a fantastic spec but pop the hood and it like like that. I know if i had a spec like that in my car id take pride in it and at least clean it. All comes down to reciepts and service history and if its been looked after though i guess.

I find it surprising to be titled a 'drift car' and it has no front or rear strut brace, it must be as wobbly as f**K.

If your seriously going for this one fella, take a bloody good look at the service history oil changes etc, as presentation is the key to a well looked after car. I hope it works out for ya.

that looks a lot like mujina's car??

im sure this car was featured in a banzai or jap performance mag last year some time
