Boost and oil pressure guages on Jap Imports

Not exactly the technical thing in the world, but I thought this the best place to ask this question.

In the Z Buying Guide on this site, it shows the turbo guage going from -14 to +14. When I tested a Jap car the other day it had -7 to +7 instead (I think). Is this normal? I think it was the same story with the oil pressure guage.

I'm going to see another one tomorrow (in Leicester from Today's autotrader if you've got it to hand!) and want to make sure I am properly prepared.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks,

-Stu

Yes, it's normal.

UK boost gauges read in psi. Japanese boost gauges read in mmHg (x100 I think).
