November 14, 201015 yr there has been loads of threads about this, and different solutions - if you do a quick search mate you'll find loads of advice ranging from air gun to blow out drain holes, to rubbing oil to refresh squashed rubbers.... In the meantime, keep a little hand towel on the passenger seat!
November 14, 201015 yr Author there is some rubber restoring stuff on sale in halfrauds i was told it swells the old rubbers to make a better fit...some members on here use peanut oil....however i used araldite under the joins by the targa drain holes...worked a treat nice dry leg :) does the penut oil really work
November 14, 201015 yr its not a magical cure but it sure helps . well worth applying after each wash
November 14, 201015 yr as title sais how can i stop this the seals are good but still dripping in the rainy scottish weather The seals might be good, but not good enough obviously! Silicon grease or peanut oil can help keep them soft. Make sure the drain holes under the targa roof aren't blocked. slowly pour water over each hole, if its clear you should get a little puddle of water under the car. New targa seals can be bought from Zcentre // MJP etc and not too expensive.
November 15, 201015 yr Spent the weekend finding the same leak. Took off the small targa seal and thoroughly cleaned , as it is new. Removed the s/steel rail that it sits in this was filthy and had water at the back. replaced and sat it in with clear bath sealant, then removed long door/targa top seal and saw that the problem was at the 90 degree angle near the front pillar. cleaned everything and sat the 90 degree rubber part in clear sealant , gently placed the tatga roof back and left in the dry overnight, this pushed out some sealant but Hey presto today no leaks.
