if you mean the speed limiter at 110 (or thereabouts I think) then no, and I think the button thing you mean is a manual way to take you car out of park without having the igition on, is it red?

Yeah mate I mean the 112 limiter when it makes a weird noise and blows a load of smoke out is that norm Lol? And yeah its red, cheers ill try that1

The push button, in front of the lever is to take it out of gear, without the ignition on or putting foot on the brake to release the shifter.

The limiter is there to protect the engine, but not a good idea to keep bouncing off the limiter though

Don't think he is talking bout the rev limiter, he's refering to the standard Jap spec top speed restrictor of 112mph.

No, it should not damage your car driving on the restricted limit, but then blowing a load of smoke out is not normal, you may have a problem.

Yeah thats what I ment mate. It only does it when I hit the limiter though apart from that it neva smokes. It makes a strange noise then puffs a loada smoke out I thought it might be excess fuel being burnt up?

You could be right with that one. It could be overfuelling a little as the car is hitting the restrictor. I don't know how the restrictor works, it may retard timing as well as other things, but if it smokes then I wouldn't hold the car at that speed.

I also think it cannot be good for your license either lol, The restrictior could work by closing off the air, which would lead to a unclean burn until the fuel supply is also reduced

Just done a bit of reading some manufactures kill the spark (as already stated retard the ignition) which would give smoke
